This Cookie Policy explains how Primal Match ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on the primalmatch.com website, in the Primal Match web app at app.primalmatch.com, and in the Primal Match iOS app.
1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser so it can recognize you on your next request. Similar technologies include browser local storage (data a page keeps in your browser without sending it to us on every request) and, in a native app, device identifiers such as a push-notification token.
2. WHAT WE USE, AND WHERE
primalmatch.com (the marketing site):
- No cookies. The site sets none, and we do not run any analytics or advertising scripts on it.
- Browser local storage, used only to remember your light/dark theme choice, whether you have already joined the waitlist (so the form is not shown again), and your waitlist referral code if you arrived through a friend's link. None of this is sent to us except the referral code, which is submitted with your waitlist sign-up.
app.primalmatch.com (the web app):
- Essential cookies only: the session cookies our authentication provider (Supabase) sets when you sign in, which keep you signed in and protect your account. The web app does not work without them. They expire when your session ends or when you sign out.
- When you subscribe through the web app, Stripe's checkout and billing pages (hosted by Stripe) set their own cookies for fraud prevention and to complete the payment. Those are governed by Stripe's privacy and cookie policies.
The iOS app:
- Native apps do not use cookies. The app stores your sign-in session on your device, remembers a few preferences on the device (for example, notification and display settings), and generates a push-notification token when you allow notifications. Our crash reporting (Sentry) and product analytics (PostHog) identify your device with an identifier tied to your account, as described in the Privacy Policy, not with cookies.
We do not use advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies anywhere, and we do not share cookie data with advertisers.
3. YOUR CHOICES
Because we only set essential cookies, there is no cookie consent banner to manage. You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time; blocking cookies on app.primalmatch.com will sign you out and prevent you from signing in again until they are allowed. Clearing local storage on primalmatch.com resets your theme choice and may show you the waitlist form again. On iOS, deleting the app removes everything it stored on your device.
4. DO NOT TRACK
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. We set no tracking cookies, so there is nothing for the signal to turn off; we do not alter our behaviour based on it.
5. UPDATES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on primalmatch.com and inside the App, and the "Last updated" date will be revised accordingly.
